True Old School

What's this crappy old bug doing here?

Well, I spotted it just 2 streets away from my place and had to show it up to you...
It seems to be a '68, customized already some ages ago.
Notice the colored bumpers, 8-spokes, lack of chrome trim, dual quiet exhaust, rear pop-out windows, custom steering wheel and most interesting: cleaned dashboard!

Uh ya, and for sure notice the additional air vent in the floor... ouch!

"How to Hot Rod...

... Volkswagen Engines" by Bill Fisher

A great book from the 70s showing exactly what to do where and why to get some more power.
I never imagined to find it in the wild, but however I run across it by chance.

New toys for big boys

After one week of painful suffering, my new parts for the new motor finally arrived.
It's great to share one appartment with Mr.W120 and his girlfriends 94g and IDF-Manifolds :-)

Inch Pincher rocks!

Hey everybody, I played a little bit around with the site, presenting you now some more pictures in the rigth frame (some can be clicked on!) and our new "der morgen stingers" logo.

Furthermore, I found some hot pix from the 70s in a book showing a supporting bus of Orange County Int'l Raceway and the famous InchPincher. Enjoy'em!

BugOut #58 VWShow

I went to the Manassas Volkswagenshow last weekend, right here in Virginia.
It was great: Awesome weather, nice people and some hell of dragracing on the 1/8 mile.
